I am writing to request a new feature for your email app that I believe will greatly benefit its users. As a professional who regularly sends emails to clients and colleagues, I feel that tracking the engagement with embedded images is crucial to determining the effectiveness of my message.
My proposed feature involves the ability to include reduced size images within the body of an email, surrounded by relevant text to that photo. This image would contain a message, either above or watermarked over it, to "click to see full size image." If the recipient clicks the link, the larger image would appear in a pop-up window, and the action of clicking that link would be reported back to the sender as an engagement metric.
With this feature, users would be able to better understand the effectiveness of their email messages. For example, if I send an email with five embedded images, and the recipient clicks on all five, I know they are highly engaged with my message. Conversely, if they do not click on any images, I can infer that they may have read the body text, but were not intrigued enough to see the images in detail.
I believe that this feature would be highly beneficial to your users, and I would be happy to discuss it further with you or your team. Thank you for your consideration.
