As well as a send later option, having a send on the previous being opened option would be great.

I think this would be really effective as often someone doesnt open your email for days, weeks, months and so getting a follow up almost straight away would likely make them more likely to reply than just finding an old email.

for this to not be too spoooooky, it would need a 5 or 10 minute delay or something like that.
