The notifications of the "follow up" function can be found in the notification center. The principle is great but we easily miss the notification.
Can you work on the same principle as the "snooze" function:
Example:
> I send an email on 01.01.2021 with a deadline of 10.01.2021
> If I have no response before this date, the email sent appears in the inbox. That way, we don't miss the notifications.
Thank you !

With the "Urgent Today" widget in the dashboard, you can now easily see which tasks are due today.
You can also set up an automation from your account preferences, to specify what you want to happen to a task when you receive a reply to your email (e.g. mark it as done, delete the task,...)
We hope you like it and this will help your use case!

This is how Airmail und Spark do this, and Mailbutler should simply learn from that.

Agreed!
I live on Do Not Disturb (Mac), so the best possible follow up reminder for me would be:
Email thread comes back to the top of my inbox.
