Better filtering on return tasks/reminders <—> task management software integration

Thank you for explaining that. I misunderstood the purpose of the pull down versus the filter. The insight you provided makes the tool much more useful!

Hello Timothy, thank you for your comment.
Could you elaborate a bit further about what you are exactly missing in the filters right now? Is there something specific you are trying to do that you can't achieve?
When you talk about returned reminders on follow-up actions, would you like to have repeating notifications?
We offer integrations with several task managers: Asana, Todoist, Google Tasks, Microsoft To Do, Trello, Meistertask, JIra and pretty soon with Apple Reminders. Is there another task manager that you're using?

Noortje: Re: task management:
I use Omni Focus (https://www.omnigroup.com/omnifocus/) for task management. They offer some web sync and email --> Omni Focus connectivity which may be extensible.
As for filters:
the only existing filter I use is the 'follow-up reminder' (FUR) and the only further refinement once selected is to use the numerical sorting (9-->1) button, which appears to sort by date. It would be great to filter to exclude 'completed' FURs or to limit the FURs displayed to those that are at or beyond the follow-up date. It would also be great to see the follow-up date in the summary fields presented as headers. Lastly, it would be great to be able to search for FURs by a keyword or a recipient. I understand that the total contact integration is a premium feature, but being able to manually search or filter by a contact or name or other key text seems to be a reasonable base feature for your professional clients, like me. Hope that makes my suggestions more clear. Have a great day! -Tim

Timothy Sales: Thank you for your reply.
Two things you mentioned:
- Searching by keyword or recipient: with the search field on top of the filters you can already filter on any keyword from the message subject line, recipient or sender. Since we don't have access to your email's content, this is all we can offer for a search functionality.
- Filtering out completed Follow-up Reminders is something you can already do, by filtering Follow-up Reminders on "Uncompleted". Then you could combine this with an open date (only selecting a 'From' or a 'To') or with specified date range, or as you are already doing, sorting the list with the sorting button. This will give you all the Follow-up Reminders you still need to complete.
If any of these should not be working for you, please reach out to our support team at support@mailbutler.io.
We will take your other suggestions about presenting the Follow-up date better and an integration with Omnifocus into consideration!
